  1. KOCH SYSTEME CS 11″ Copper Nonstick Frying Pan

Superior Non-Stick/Scratch Resistant & Easy To Clean, PFOA & PTFE Free ceramic titanium coating, Uniform & fast heat induction for all stove tops, Ergonomic stainless steel handle & glass lid included

Small, easy to use, clean and fits snugly on my glass top stove. Even with its size limitations, this frying pan is one of my personal favorites. It produces excellent results and is reliable, but there are two caveats; cleaning should be done by hand, and you shouldn’t really use it with the heat turned up high else the pan won’t last very long.

I also like the fact that it’s cheap and easily available in almost every store you care to look at.

Pros

  • Easy to use
  • Simple to clean, maintain, and non-stick
  • Flat bottom

Cons

  • Contrary to claims, hand washing is the best option for cleaning it
  • Not suitable for use in extreme heat settings frequently

  1. SENSARTE Nonstick Deep Frying Pan Skillet

Switzerland ILAG nonstick granite coating, SGS approved. PFOA-free, smokeless, suitable for all stoves, versatile sauté pan with pour spout, glass lid & ‘stay-cool’ handle, nonstick, and easy to clean.

From my little experience with this frying pan, I can say everything from sautéing to steaming, boiling, and shallow & deep frying was quite easy to do with this pan.  I cooked vegetables, browned chicken, bacon, sauce, and more with this pan and it did all well. It will brown, sear, and cook food very quickly with excellent results every time. Cleaning was also quite easy; just a quick wipe with a paper towel and a rinse with water was all it took to get it back in shape and ready for the next use. Though a few inconveniences here and there, you must know that no product is perfect.

Pros

  • Very easy to clean and maintain
  • Extremely versatile
  • Consistent results
  • Flat bottom

Cons

  • Size might not be to everyone’s liking
  1. Segretto Cookware Cast Iron Skillet

Enameled cast iron skillet with 3 layers of protective coating, safe for stovetop and oven use, ergonomic, multi-functional & ideal for large servings.

At first glance, it’s quite easy to dismiss this pan as just another overpriced imported cookware with a fancy name! But you would be doing yourself a great disservice if you did that.

I enjoyed using this pan so much that I hated the fact that I had to return it after reviewing it. It adds a pleasant ‘traditional’ type of flavor and aroma to dishes that we all loved, was extremely easy to clean after use, and was quite sturdy, which is an indication of high build quality. The only downsides to using it are the fact that it’s a little heavy when compared to other pans I’ve used previously, which means I had to be cautious to avoid scratches to my glass top,  and it required some soaking to clean thoroughly. Although, I must confess that after soaking, you’ll need very little effort to wipe all the mess out.

Pros

  • Will last a more than lifetime
  • Durable and high-quality build
  • Ideal for large servings
  • Versatile
  • Easy to use, clean, and store
  • Made by a reputable brand name known for quality cookware

Cons

  • Heavyweight compared to others on this list
  • Not induction compatible
  • Not dishwasher safe
  • Pricey
  1. Cuisinart 622-30G Nonstick-Hard-Anodized Skillet

Induction stovetop compatible, high-quality stainless steel build, glass lid and ‘cold touch’ handle, hard anodized exterior, dense, non-porous, highly wear-resistant, great for browning and searing

The Cuisinart brand has been in the business of making professional cookware for over 30 years and they’ve been consistent with their quality over time.

This frying pan is an excellent choice for frying, sautéing, or browning. It’s versatile, reliable, and can hold quite a lot of content due to its 12-inch size.

The only downside is that sometimes the heat distribution isn’t even, and in my own case the lid didn’t fit perfectly. But I think it might just be my luck of the draw as others haven’t complained of anything like this.

Pros

  • Manufactured by a reputable brand
  • Big size (12 inches) and high content capacity
  • Versatile
  • Highly wear-resistant and durable
  • Flat bottom

Cons

Big size might be an issue for some as they might not be well experienced when it comes to spreading out food properly for even heat distribution

  1. Nutrichef Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron Skillet

Non-stick coating, pre-seasoned, heat safe up to 500° F, side drip spout, and induction ready.

What I love about this product is that it’s a 3 piece cookware set, as opposed to other ones that are just a single piece. This means that I can cook more food at the same time since my glass top has more than one stove which is great if you plan on having many guests.

I can attest to the fact that every feature the manufacturer spoke about (lightweight, build quality, and more) is a plus. The only downside is cleaning and storage; mainly because you’re dealing with a set as opposed to a single item. Overall, it’s a great product with almost no cons.

Pros

  • 3 piece set means you can do more
  • Easy to clean
  • The weight is just perfect
  • Versatile
  • High content capacity
  • Affordable

Cons

Storage might require a little bit more room due to the fact that it’s a set

  1. MICHELANGELO 8 Inch Frying Pan with Lid, Small Frying Pan

Ultra non-stick stone coating, non-toxic & easy to clean, heats up quickly & evenly, ergonomic bakelite handle & tempered glass lid, induction compatible.

I got this pan as a gift and I couldn’t be any happier with it.

Omelets, sauces, and scrambled eggs? No problem, delicious results every time.

Add this to the fact that it’s made by a high-quality manufacturer such as Michael Angelo, and you’ve got yourself a winner. I like the fact that you don’t have a mess on the outside of the pan to clean after cooking, and it seems to clean up nicely and easily with minimal stress

Although it might seem a little pricey to some for what it offers, it’s good value for money nonetheless.

Pros

  • Affordable
  • Lightweight
  • Non-toxic & easy to clean

Cons

Stone-derived coating might not suit everyone’s needs and preferences

  1. MICHELANGELO Frying Pan Set, Frying Pans

Granite coating, easy to clean non-stick ceramic coating, heats up quickly & evenly, ergonomic bakelite handle & tempered glass lid

This pan is thick, sturdy, and heats up evenly. It is raised very slightly from the outside towards the center, which has both pros and cons, but the raised middle is so slight that it is barely noticeable, and I would not hesitate to cook an omelet in it. An advantage to this is that it allows the grease to drain towards the outside of the pan rather than staying under the food and the easy-to-clean glass lid that allows me to see my food as it cooks is a bonus.

Design is a subjective matter; this is a matter of opinion as what appeals to me might not be to your liking

One caution: the directions caution against using the pan above medium heat temperatures frequently to prolong its lifespan which in my opinion counts as a minus.

Pros

  • Durable, thick, and sturdy
  • Excellent build quality
  • Granite coating
  • Different sizes mean you can cook more foods at the same if you have more guest
  • Very versatile

Cons

  • The design might not be to everyone’s liking
  • Not really suitable for frequent high heat use
  • Pricey

Factors to consider when choosing the best non-stick frying pan for glass top stove

Here are 6 things you should keep in mind when shopping for a nonstick fry pan:

  1. Material

Look for cookware that has a smooth finish, excellent at retaining heat, won’t scratch surfaces, and sit flat on the glass cooktop.

Nonstick frying pans are available in a variety of materials such as ceramics, aluminum, stainless steel, cast iron, enameled steel, and more. Each material has its own pros and cons so you need to factor them in before you make a decision.

You can use aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, carbon steel, and copper frying pans on the glass top. Avoid using frying pans made of cast iron, glass, or stone. However, per Samsung, brass is not recommended as it is not magnetic and only good for decorating your kitchen.

Although you can use enameled cast iron on glass top because its surface is smooth due to coating, you are advised against using cast iron pans on your glass top, as your glass top is prone to scratches due to the roughness and heavy weight of cast iron cookware.

  1. Size

The best non-stick frying pan for glass top stoves is one that matches the size of the burner. A pan larger in size than the burner will not be heated evenly resulting in hot and cold spots, while a frying pan smaller in size than the burner will be prone to overheating. Thus, Teflon recommends using a stove burner that matches the size of the pan bottom.

To get the dimensions of your glass top stove, turn it off and make sure it is completely cool to the touch. Then use a measuring tape to get the width of your main burner and check it against the diameter of your cookware to see if it fits snugly on the top of the glass top stove.

  1. Price

Using expensive cookware doesn’t guarantee a delicious meal. Look for a cookware set that suits all your needs, and preferences fit into your budget, and includes the key features mentioned previously.

  1. Induction

Induction works by using an electromagnetic field to heat the cookware.

Not all cookware is compatible with induction, this is because cookware used on an induction cooktop must have iron content as this is what makes the cookware magnetic and allows the transfer of heat energy to the pan or pot you are using.

Cookware made of materials such as magnetic stainless steel, enameled steel, enamel-coated cast iron, or a combination of these materials is all compatible with the induction process and is recommended for use.

  1. Type of cooking you do

The type of cooking you will be doing should be a major consideration when it comes to choosing a nonstick frying pan or cookware set for your glass top stove.

If you are going to be doing a lot of frying, then you should choose pans that have a flat bottom as they allow the food to rest in place during frying. If you are going to use your pan for mostly baking, then choose a pan with a concave bottom as this will allow air to circulate around the food while baking.

  1. Weight

A frying pan that is too heavy will not fry food evenly, while a frying pan that is too light may break easily and will not be able to withstand the heat.

So you must choose a pan the weight is ‘just right’ and has a thick bottom, as it will be strong enough to retain its shape, withstand extreme heat, fry food evenly, and will not wobble or tilt when frying.

Conclusion

This wraps it up for the topic “best nonstick frying pan for glass top stove”.

With so many options for non-stick frying pans, it can be hard to know which will be the best for your precious glass top stove.

As with everything in life, you need to choose the one that suits your needs and preferences, ticks all the right boxes, and fits into your budget.

Each has its pros and cons, so it’s just a matter of choosing what works best for you.
